6/22/2003 - Haspin Acres: Hare Scramble - DNF
 

Description: HMS Rider Eric "The Rooster" Baber, entered his first Hare Scramble race in more then 13 years.
11 riders entered in the Open B class and approximately 60 riders total. Off the start,
he hit the woods in 5th. After the first six mile lap, he exited the woods in third on the heels of the
second place rider. About three miles into second lap, The "Rooster"
passed to move into second place. That all would end quickly as five miles into second lap,
a tree ended the day with a broken fender, number plate and bent bars not to mention
the torn pants, pads and tree whipped leg. He still managed an 8th place finish and only required
two months to heal!
